This collection of Greek, Etruscan, Cypriot, Egyptian and like classical ceramic vessels and other objects is a surprisingly fine one so far from its centre of origin. It is a growing collection. It is housed in Christchurch - in Level 1 of the former Chemistry Building at 3 Hereford Street, in the historic Christchurch Arts Centre. It houses the Logie collection. The museum was formerly named the Loggie Collection.
Closed for several years after the Canterbury earthquakes to allow restoration of many damaged pieces it is now again open.
